*Smokestack 'Lightnin 6 were led to their 11.60 point victory by a 20.70 point effort from Antonio Bryant, who beat the San Diego Chargers defense for 127 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Bryant was the number 2 ranked wide receiver for week 16. They also got help from a 17.90 point effort from Brandon Marshall, who beat the Buffalo Bills defense for 129 receiving yards. "It's tough to win in a hostile environment," *Smokestack 'Lightnin 6 coach Randall K. Gilland said. *Sidney Cowboys were helped out in a losing cause by a 17.30 point effort from Pierre Thomas, who got by the Detroit Lions defense for 77 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 26 receiving yards. They also got help from a 16.30 point effort from Antonio Gates, who snuck past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 43 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. "They just made the big plays and we didn't," *Sidney Cowboys coach Dave said. Causing further embarrassment, *Sidney Cowboys could have scored 111.55 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Dave left key players like Chad Pennington and his corresponding 29.75 points on the bench. This brings the record for *Smokestack 'Lightnin 6 to 8-8, and drops *Sidney Cowboys to a record of 7-8. | ||
