take a look at the playoff brackets. If Hot Monkey Love had matched up against either of the other two teams in the first round he would have won the championship with his two scores rather than placing 4th.

Nevertheless congratulations to our commish on his league championship. Kurt, you did a nice job running the league and your team!

I wish everyone a happy holiday and safe new year!

Merry Christmas Bill - and all the Owners!

HML was the team I was most concerned about drawing n the playoffs - he was so strong over the 2nd half - after performing like a dead Monkey over the first half. Jonathan Stewart chilled a bit, then DeAngelo scored 4 TDs last week - tough to overcome that kind of phenomenal production.  HML always seems to make the playoffs with his teams... and this year he was the highest point producing owner.

Speaking of luck and good fortune:  1) If Santonio Holmes had been there in the third round of the draft, I had him in my mix of WR wants (to team with Big Ben). Instead I got Roddy -   Thanks for taking Holmes off the board for me:) And crazy as it sounds, back then I considered taking Marvin Harrison - who a few picks later went to HML.   2) I offered Phillip Rivers in a trade, but it was countered for another package - sometimes the best trades are the ones that aren't accepted (last year I offered a HUGE trade package - which if it had been accepted, that owner would have won the title).  I guess the lesson is make your moves and hope more of them pan out than do not.   3) Injuries, as usual, played a  huge role this year. Trades were made and key acquisitions and keepers went to IR with injuries.  I was for the most part free of the injury bug over the course, which was a difference maker.  Who wanted to be the owner of Brady, and miss the playoffs by one game?

I was also worried about HML, he was puttin up huge numbers and had good matchups
I was hoping to score beter against Prime but Phili decided to pass the ball and lose to Wash
I was happy to drag my Waiver Wire Wonders into the playoffs,
I should have expected other I/R victims (Bush, Winslow).

Congrats to everyone, Happy New Year, and start your research for next year.

Thanks again, Kurt
