| Yo Owners, Aside from having the good fortune of winning the league this year, I want to say it was relatively low maintenance to run things this season. That said, if owners want to see changes to the league format for 2009, lets throw out the ideas for cussing and discussion in this thread. Otherwise, I'm going to mostly go with what we have. One of the new changes I really liked was the double headers - and playing most teams 3 times over the season - which really cuts down on the tie-breaker dilemma. Some minor modifications I'd like to consider: 1) Tweek the defensive scoring format to emphasize points for fewer yards allowed, as opposed to points against. The rationale - often it's a teams offense that gives up a score, which a points based defensive scoring format is penalized for. Right now the setup is points for both scoring and low yardage, allowed - I just want to consider reversing the defensive scoring emphasis to stress low yardage first, and points allowed secondly (special team scores and defensive scores would be unchanged). 2008 money winners: Septimus Prime - $450 Couch Potatoes - $150 Operation Domination - $150 Hot Monkey Love - $150 Winner of Ryanators/NSP - $100 Money winners: Please send me your email addy, I will make a payment via PayPal to you, 48 hours after the week 17 consolation winner. (The same way we paid our ownership dues.) If you prefer a check, send me your mailing address and I'll send it out to you. ~Kurt |

| First, CONGRATULATIONS to all the "big Four (five)" money winners!! Second, thank you Kurt for taking such good care of us this year -- as always! Third, thank you to all the owners in this league. You all are amazing. In addition to being the most informed and competitive FF owners I've ever played with. Every week is a challenge. That sure makes this a great league!! Lastly, about changes -- I'm happy with the setup we have (well, except for getting bit by the "illegal roster" when my trade processed messing up my waiver wire picks right at the end of the season) and I like your suggestion for defensive point changes. That would truly make defensive points just that not impacted by some of the wierd "other" factors. Anyway, thanks again everyone!! Happy Holidays!! And see ya all soon. |

| I like the double headers as well. I'd suggest another change be that the draft order be determined by the consolation bowl in the future rather than reverse season standings. This is a nice feature in other leagues I play in and gives everyone incentive to play to the end. It also removes the incentive for tanking the final few weeks for teams not in contention (not saying anyone would do this but it keeps the focus on winning through the playoffs). |

| Thanks for evrything Kurt, including beating me like a drum in championship game. Thanks to a great league with great players, who were responsive and current on trades, waivers, injuries, etc Everything ran very well, some minor gliches but that can be expected. Please send me a check: Dave Blain 38 Holston Hills Henderson, Nevada 89052 Changes to consider: Final payout in Champ bracket, there is no difference between 2nd, 3rd, or 4th. Even though more games needed to be won to advance, only draft order is affected. Maybe token $50 for 2nd $25 for 3rd, I like the change in defensive points. I would like to give return yards credit to player acquiring them, not just td or not. Everything else seemed fine Thanks again Couchy
