| Not much to change this year, I think we got all the bugs worked out! Unless there are objections I'm going to make a minor change to the defensive scoring system, to increase the emphasis on defensive yards allowed, and somewhat reduce the emphasis on points against. The rationale is to reduce the penalty a defense suffers if their offense allows a score. I propose the following payout for 2009 league winnings: 1st place - 250 2nd place - 175 3rd place - 150 4th place - 125 Best record - 100 Most points - 100 Toilet bowl - 100 Each year it seems there are 1-2 owners who do not return for one reason or another - if we have an orphan team this year I would prefer that team is first opened up to ownership outside of the current ownership - otherwise it kinds defeats the purpose of a "keeper" league. I'd like to hear from everyone by next Sunday regarding your plans for your league team this year. With the 10 team format I don't see any "weak" teams in the line-up this year, it seems like everyone has a couple studs. Any comments or recommendations - lets bang them out in this thread! |

| Well, I'm in. The defensive change proposed doesn't strike me as all that important when you consider the impact of teams that give up a lot of yards playing soft defense to protect a lead late in the game. Seems like these are just parts of the game that you are stuck dealing with. You may be trying to for too fine of a level of control. (A more cynical person might point out that the person with the Bears defense who has to contend with Cutler's interception rate might have ulterior motives here. Of course that would be a more cynical person  , certainly not me.)

| Yeah - a fine adjustment probably describes it well. I'm thinking to take 2 points from the points allowed section and adding them to the yards allowed point total - making each category worth 12 points apiece max. Always striving for perfection. Regarding Cutler - I had a premonition Chicago was going to acquire him in the off-season, and subsequently dumped the Bears last year
