| Hey Guys, Just in case not everyone's email has received my email previously. Sometimes my spam filter deletes emails from my competitor owners... LOL Hey Guys, I had some free time on my hands this afternoon and thought I would take a stab at playoff scenarios and how they might pan out... So, obviously, these are not official, but I believe they are pretty accurate... Total points is the second tie breaker behind total records in our league this season. Since there are eight teams with 7-5 records and two teams with 6-6 records there are ONLY two teams eliminated from playoff contention. The 1-11 Carolina Roughriders and the 3-9 Steamrollers are the only two teams that don't have something to play for this weekend. Here are the rankings based SOLELY on total points: 1. DoCoMo 1,497.90 2. Big Dog -47.20 3. Terminators -88.35 4. Fastfish -93.60 5. Prozac -94.30 6. Half Cats -112.20 7. Hugonators -143.75 8. Dick Buttkiss -157.50 9. Brownsrock -175.75 10. Four Horse 1 -213.70 In the NFFC conference, three teams are tied with 7-5 records, Tillman DoCoMo, Fastfish Greyhounds, and Half Cats. Tillman DoCoMo are already in the playoffs, and if Tillman DoCoMo wins their game against Hugonators they get the first seed and a first round bye regardless of what the Greyhounds or Half Cats do since they have scored the most points in the league with 1,497.90. They can still get a first round bye if BOTH Fastfish Greyhounds and Half Cats lose also due to their total points advantage. If DoCoMo loses they are still in the playoffs as the top seeded 7-6 teams since they have a large total points lead, and The Fastfish Greyhounds are in the playoffs if they defeat the Carolina Roughriders. The Fastfish can earn a top seed and first round bye in the NFFC if they defeat the Roughriders of Carolina, AND Prozac Nation defeats Half Cats, OR if Fastfish defeats Roughriders AND they score no more than 19.60 points LESS than Half Cats regardless of whether Half Cats wins or not. Half Cats will earn a playoff spot if they defeat Prozac Nation. Half Cats can get the top seed in the NFFC and first round bye if Half Cats defeat Prozac Nation AND Hugonators defeat DoCoMo AND Carolina Roughriders defeat Fastfish Greyhounds, OR Half Cats can still get the top seed in the NFFC with a win over Prozac Nation AND DoCoMo loses AND score at least 19.65 points more than Fastfish Greyhounds. So, in the NFFC, DoCoMo is already in the playoffs whether they win or lose since they have such a commanding total points lead. And if they defeat Hugonators this weekend they will get a top seed in their conference and a first round bye. Staying in the NFFC conference.... If Fastfish Greyhounds loses they can still get into the playoffs as a wildcard if DoCoMo wins and Fastfish outscores Prozac Nation. Fastfish can still get in with a loss if BOTH Dick Buttkiss AND Prozac Nation win AND Fastfish doesn't score more than 18.60 points LESS than Half Cats. OR if Fastfish loses they can also get into the playoffs if they OUTSCORE Tillman's Terminators by 5.30 points AND don't score more than 18.60 points LESS than Half Cats. OR if Fastfish loses they can get in as a wildcard if they OUTSCORE Prozac Nation and OUTSCORE Tillman's Terminators by 5.30 points. If Fastfish Greyhounds lose they can be eliminated from the playoffs if Hugonators defeat DoCoMo and Tillman's Terminators defeat Dick Buttkiss AND Fastfish does not outscore Terminators by 5.3 points or more. Half Cats are in the playoffs with a victory over Prozac Nation. If the Cats lose they can still get into the playoffs as a wildcard if BOTH DoCoMo wins AND Dick Buttkiss wins. Or, the Half Cats can still gain a playoff berth with a loss against Prozac Nation if DoCoMo wins and the Cats OUTSCORES the Terminator's by 23.90 points. If the Hugonators LOSE to DoCoMo then the Half Cats must OUTSCORE the Terminators by 23.90 points AND OUTSCORE the Fastfish Greyhounds by 18.65 points in order to make the playoffs. Otherwise the Half Cats will miss the playoffs. Dick Buttkiss is sitting at 6-6 and is a LONG SHOT to make the playoffs. In order to make the playoffs Buttkiss must defeat the Terminators and then MUST have DoCoMo defeat the Hugonators AND Buttkiss must OUTSCORE Prozac Nation by 63.20 points AND OUTSCORE Half Cats by 45.35 points AND OUTSCORE Hugonators by 13.80 points. If they lose to the Terminators or if they do not outscore the Prozac Nation and the other two teams by the points specified above, Dick Buttkiss is sitting home for the playoffs this season! Now, to the AFFC Conference, The Big Dog Daddy in all likelihood has earned itself a playoff spot regardless of whether they win or lose this week. Certainly if they win they are in the playoffs. If Big Dog Daddy defeats the Steamrollers they will earn the top seed in the AFFC and a first round bye. In the extremely unlikely event that Prozac Nation defeats the Half Cats AND OUTSCORES Big Dog Daddy by 47.15 points is the only scenario that Big Dog Daddy does not earn the top seed in the conference and the first round bye if Big Dog defeats the Steamrollers. The only way Big Dog Daddy does not make the playoffs is if they lose to the Steamrollers and the Terminators defeat Dick Buttkiss AND Terminators OUTSCORE Big Dog by 41.20 points. So the Big Dog Daddy team appears to be sitting pretty for a playoff spot. Prozac Nation earns a playoff spot with a victory. If Prozac Nation defeats Half Cats AND Big Dog Daddy loses to Steamrollers then Prozac Nation will earn the top seed and a first round bye in the AFFC. If Prozac Nation loses to the Half Cats this week they can still earn a playoff spot IF BOTH DoCoMo AND Dick Butkiss win this week. Or Prozac can make the playoffs if DoCoMo wins AND Prozac Nation OUTSCORES Terminators by 6 points, Or Prozac can earn a playoff spot if Terminator's lose to Dick Buttkiss AND Fastfish Greyhounds loses AND OUTSCORE the Fastfish by 1 point. The Hugonators are in the playoffs if they defeat DoCoMo. They can earn a first round bye with a victory AND If Half Cats defeat Prozac Nation AND Steamrollers defeat Big Dog Daddy AND they don't score more than 29.95 points less than Brownsrock. If the Hugonators lose they are very likely out of the playoffs. The only way they can get into the playoffs with a loss to DoCoMo is if Dick Butkiss defeats Terminators AND Prozac Nation defeats Half Cats AND OUTSCORE Half Cats by 31.60 points. Brownsrock will earn a playoff spot with a victory. They can earn a top seed and a first round bye if they defeat Four Horse 1 AND Steamrollers defeat Big Dog Daddy AND Half Cats defeat Prozac Nation AND DoCoMo defeat Hugonators AND Dick Buttkiss defeats Tillman's Terminators. If Brownsrock loses they are out of the playoffs. Four Horse 1 will earn a playoff spot with a victory over Brownsrock this weekend. They can earn a top seed and a first round bye if Steamrollers defeat Big Dog Daddy AND Half Cats defeat Prozac Nation AND DoCoMo defeats Hugonators AND Dick Butkiss defeats Tillman's Terminators. Four Horse 1 will not be able to earn a playoff spot with a loss this weekend. And lastly, Tillman's Terminators can earn a playoff spot with a victory over Dick Buttkiss this weekend IF DoCoMo defeats Hugonators and the Terminators defeat Dick Buttkiss. A loss will eliminate the Terminators from the playoffs. If the Hugonators defeat DoCoMo this weekend, the Terminator's can still make the playoffs if Fastfish Greyhounds lose to Carolina's Roughriders AND don't sore more than 5.3 points LESS than Fastfish. If Hugonators and Fastfish BOTH win then Tillman's Terminators are eliminated regardless of whether they win or not this week against Buttkiss. This took longer than expected to type up fellows!!! Sorry for cluttering up your email boxes, but hopefully my math is correct and this is an accurate portrayal of the playoff scenario in this whacky format!!! I've not been in a league like this where so many teams have winning records and the playoff scenarios are so mired.... Have a great Sunday and I hope your Thanksgiving was a good one!
