With their 157 points, Portland Golfers is now the proud record-holder of the 19th-highest weekly point total in league history.
Portland Golfers were led to their 80 point victory by a 35 point effort from Peyton Manning, who tore apart the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 364 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 1 rushing yards. With this performance, Manning was the number 3 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 16. They also got help from a 25 point effort from Hines Ward, who beat the Tennessee Titans defense for 109 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. "I'm really proud of the way our guys hung in there," Portland Golfers coach David Rostad said. Dooms Day were helped out in a losing cause by a 20 point effort from Ricky Williams, who snuck past the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 34 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 50 receiving yards. They also got help from a 17 point effort from Eddie Royal, who snuck past the Buffalo Bills defense for 57 receiving yards in addition to 71 rushing yards. "This is a bitter pill to swallow," Dooms Day coach Daryl Dorsey said. This brings the record for Portland Golfers to 7-6, and drops Dooms Day to a record of 9-4. | ||||
