Dear Playmakers League Owners,

I've had the priviledge and pleasure of being your commish for the past couple of years.  I've loved it!  You know based on the previous announcement made that my life won't allow me to continue to run Fantasy Football 4You as a website beyond this season.  I decided to seek a new owner/commissioner for the website but have not found anyone that I can entrust that huge responsibility to.  I have found guys that have had the desire to take over certain leagues and have committed to me to do right by all of you for seasons to come.  Josh Phillips has decided to step up to the plate.  I trust that he will run the league with integrity, enthusiasm, wisdom and a high level of responsiveness to each of you.  He will be posting his own intro to all of you soon.

Over the next few weeks trusted men will become the new commissioners of the leagues.  I will co-commish with them this season as they take over the reigns for a smooth transition; however, the new commishes will begins handling the responsibilities for the individual leagues.  I will still process all payouts at the end of the season.  There may be some changes in rules and payouts but I believe the new owners will discuss with you what they will be and get your input.  The guys That are taking over the leagues want to leagues to thrive and are willing to invest themselves into the to ensure their security.

Josh will be officially begin acting as Commish starting this Sunday and throughout the rest of the season.  Change is easier for some than others.  Please enjoy the rest of the season and please be patient through this transition.  I hope you will keep a positive outlook and commit to making this league strong and great for seasons to come.

Thanks to all of you and good luck the rest of the season.

Thanks alot Ahmed!  I figured I'm active enough so I'll do my very best to keep this league going and going.  I plan on keeping things the same as ahmed did in here.  If anyone see's anything wrong or anything that needs to be changed just let me know asap and I'll do all I can for you.  I will try and be as fair as possible and do all I can to help this league and everyone out in it.
I will be opening up trading draft picks for everyone, but just like before you must pay before you trade them.  I hope everyone plans on returning next year, I would love to see all of you in here for many years to come.
If you have any questions comments, please feel free to ask, I'll do all I can to help you.
thanks!!!

Keep in mind, that the league will not be free.  The league software costs $70 - $90 every year, depending on when it's purchased during the off-season.  Also, with these being dynasty leagues, sometimes team can be left if rough shape and it's hard to find owners without deeply discounting the teams.  If there is paypal involved in collecting money there are fees for that as well.  Then there are other expenses that may be trivial but they do cost money such as mailing out winnings.

If everything goes smoothly, i.e. everyone pays full price for their team and the commish is able to renew the software early at one of the cheapest prices, then there is in the neighborhood of $200 between expenses and what's collected (keep in mind this is only just with the software of one league and does not include all the expenses of running a website which I've done).

Also keep in mind that if the commish does his job well he's checking hs e-mail daily (almost 365 days a year) for your pending trades, to answer questions, etc. not to mention the time he will spend to send out notifications, arrange the league calendar for scheduled events, handle controversies, software glitches, seting up postseason standings and schedule (which all has to be done manually), following up with owners about returning, collecting entry fees, keeping detailed accounting records, recruiting and sometimes training new owners, etc.

There is a much bigger committment to do this job well than you know.  What job would you do daily for a whole year for $200...again that's if everything goes perfectly.  Also keep in mind that things may...but many times not, go perfectly money wise one season but what it there are just one or two struggling orphans any season?  One or two...pray not more can cut that money down significantly.

Now maybe a guy wants to only cover his expenses and award the rest in prize money.  That's his choice.  If he decides to make sure there is cushion to keep the league going every year and maybe getting rewarded with a little something for being at your disposal 365...how can you blame him.

Agreed totally with Ahmed.  With all the time/effort and everything put into this, trust me when I say making any kind of money on here is very far from my mind, I actually expect to lose a little money in doing it.  But I play in the other Playmakers league and love my team in it.  And the only reason for me taking over is to make sure these 2 leagues continue to run and run smoothly, and I know that I am active enough to make sure of that.  And I'm not sure why anyone else plays, but I sure don't play for the money, I play for the fun.   Everything will stay the same for now, unless everyone wants something changed.  If anyone would like anything to change in an upcoming year, then you can gladly put it at a vote, and if everyone wants to change something, I would be happy to change it for you.  I don't consider this a dictatorship, or even myself in charge for anything other than keeping things in order and running smoothly.  I see this league as a democracy, and am happy to keep this league how everyone wants it, and I will do all I can to make sure everyone is happy with how things are going.  If you want to put up a vote and if everyone agrees to upping the money to play and the winnings, then you are happy to pay $1000 a person if thats what everyone wants, but with something as sensitive as the fee's to play, I won't change the cost on anyone and make them pay more then they already do, without everyone in here agreeing to it.
