| As you guys know, all trades go through unless someone protests it. So I will investigate this trade as I have been asked to do, and will post the decision within 24 hours. I have received the following in an email from someone in this league. This trade is unfair. Rice is currently listed as a #2 WR sharing time with Percy Harvin. Bowe alone is far more valuable than Rice. The trade also includes LaDainian Tomlinson, a top 20 RB. Rice is equal to a 2nd round pick at best. Houston Valley should be trading Slaton for LT and Bowe. |

| Alright, I have talked to a couple of fantasy players in other leagues and got their opinions, as well as came up with my own. And I don't think that there is enough to overturn the trade. The reason why is, Ladanian Tomlinson and Dwayne Bowe for Sidney Rice seems like alot at first glance, but if you actually take away the name brands and just go by production, consistancy, and age since this is a keeper league, then what you end up with is: Chicken Hawks are getting 136.10 worth of points, and Tennessee is getting 113.50 worth of points. Tennessee's player he is getting is on a much better team then either of the others, he is more consistant in his points and he is much younger. Tennessee also doesn't ever use tomlinson, and with his set of RB's, probably never will again. While Chicken Hawks RB's need help, so LT would have alot more value for him then he would for tennessee. So it basically boils down to tennessee is giving up a WR with 77 points this year and a RB he will never use again, for a WR with 113 points. Most people wouldn't have done this trade, which is why the protest came in, and I don't blame the person who protested one bit, because even though at first glance, it may look a little one sided, but if you take away the name brands and just go by what is going to help out your team, tennessee got just as good of a deal and chicken hawks did. Everyone on here has their own philosophy on who they want, so I am going to let this trade stand. |
